New Credentials Orientation
New Credential Orientation or (NCO) takes place twice each year (March & September). It is for anyone who is interested in obtained first-time credentials. You will meet many other people thinking, praying and preparing to transition into ministry. We explore the credential process, educational requirements, as well as the roles and responsibilities of being a minister.
The day is full of meeting people and includes a free lunch. You will hear from and meet with many of the department leaders at the Network Resource Center. You will learn about the incredible benefits of receiving ministry credentials with Ohio (including money available for the education process). The schedule goes from 11:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Reminder: If you are not close to completing the education for credentials, you may want to wait to attend, policies and leadership change and it’s best to attend when you are close to finishing your credential courses or have completed them. The orientation talks extensively about the application process steps, what is required, and deadlines for the next round of interviews. Again, you are more than welcome to attend, but if you have a ways to go on your education or other processes (divorce/credit) all the deadlines and possibly some policies could change.
The next NCO will take place on Tuesday, September 12, 2017. Please complete the pre-registration form below:
*The March 13, 2018 New Credentials Orientation registration will open after the September orientation.
If you cannot make it to one of our Tuesday March/September orientations, we do have a NCO online course available for $100. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
The credential process can take on average of 6 months depending on a number of factors. Below is a timeline to assist you in the process should you desire to move forward (please click on the applicable timeline below to expand). Please note that the March 2017 NCO timeline is only for those who attend NCO in March, same for the NCO in September 2017.
