Who is Jesus?

More than two thousand years ago God sent Jesus Christ into this world. He became one of us, but he did nothing wrong. He showed us what God is like – merciful and kind. He healed the sick people, the blind were made to see, the deaf to hear, the lame to walk. Some people followed him, and to them he gave a new way of life – God’s way. But others hated Him because He was so good, and he exposed their evil ways.

He gave his own life as a sacrifice, a payment for our sins. He died on the cross to save us. Three days after he died, Jesus Christ came back from the dead. Now He lives in the power of an endless life to meet your need, to be your Saviour, to forgive your sins. Jesus Christ is the only one who can do this for you.

2017 Great Family Adventure

Did you know you CAN afford to take your kids (and grandkids) on a week’s vacation without breaking the bank?

This year’s Great Family Adventure at Heartland Conference Retreat Center offers camping, swimming, hiking, amazing food and more amazing and crazy outdoor and indoor activities than one family can possibly take advantage of!

In addition, every morning, adults and teens will gather for worship and ministry in the Oakwood Center with the kids of all ages being overseen and ministered to in age-specific sessions designed especially for them!  New this year we are offering special “programmed” breakfasts – a “frontier family breakfast” at the Living History village, a breakfast just for ladies and another just for men.  There’s even a special “Late Night” planned for all youth!

Activities for the whole family throughout the week include:  Archery, Climbing Wall, Cupcake Decorating, Family Survival, Family Tournaments, Fourth of July Parade, Game Show, Hands-On Nature Center Experience, Swimming, Tie-Dye, Zip Line  and so much more!!

Your family can custom-craft their own experience so it suits your family right where you are.  For example:

  • You can bring your tent or camper and enjoy one of Heartland’s RV sites (full and partial hook-up sites available), or you can reserve a dorm-style room for your family in one of Heartland’s lodges (limited availability).
  • For those camping in the RV park, you can make all your own meals at your campsite, or you can enjoy all meals in the Heartland dining room. Or, you can do both!
  • You can choose your family’s level of participation in the activities offered – go all day every day or balance your days between downtime and activities – whatever works best for you!
  • You can come for the whole week (check-in Sunday, July 2 and check-out Friday, July 7), or you can just come for a night or two. Whatever fits your busy family’s calendar the best!

Get ready for an ADVENTURE of a lifetime!
