We plan to do a State-wide Celebration of Seals and the Discipleship Award at the First JBQ Meet of the 2020-2021 Season. It will be remotely hosted, and we will all be able to celebrate together, before quizzing. So, plan on a super fun day!

Given the requests of the Ohio government regarding the spread of COVID-19 we have revised our plans going forward for OSOM classes.
Our plan for April & May’s OSOM class is to operate solely using our Ohio Online Learning Portal. Each instructor is putting together about an hour worth of video content that will be uploaded into your class via the portal. You will then go into the class to watch this and this will be the third/final component of the class for these months.
You will complete your text overview and exam on the portal like you have been normally. Then watch the video content. Upon completion of this, you will be emailed your course completion certificate with final grade. More details will be forthcoming as the classes near to those registered for an April or May course. Thanks for your flexibility during this time.
In light of the latest recommendations from the CDC regarding COVID-19 and the timing of these events in relationship to our Network Conference, we will be canceling our gathering in Youngstown on May 17-20. We recognize the value of Network Conference; therefore, we are considering how each component can be postponed and/or moved to an online platform.
We have been in contact with the hotel, but please let us know if you have any difficulty canceling your reservation. In addition, for those that have already registered, we will be issuing refunds within the next week.
A virtual Network Conference will be held on Tuesday, May 19 in lieu of the event business sessions. More information will be forthcoming regarding registration and participation in this event.
The in-person Ordination Overview scheduled originally scheduled for May 20 will be combined with the June 25 Ordination Overview web conference.
As a reminder, the additional qualifications of an ordained minister are listed below (GC Bylaws Article VII, Section 3). If you have questions as to whether you have satisfied the requirements noted, please contact Bethany Clayton at email@example.com.

Fun Arts Festival has been postponed until October 9-10, 2020.
We believe in the mission of Fine Arts to help students Discover and Develop their artistic gifts. In 2020 we present to you the Virtual Fine Arts Festival. Even though we cannot physically gather together, we are determined to develop your gifts and continue to walk you through this process of becoming all that God has you to be.
Virtual Fine Arts will give you the opportunity to be evaluated to develop your gift, as well as coaching you through questions that you may have on your feedback. You will participate in the festival by performing, receiving a scoring, and have the opportunity to advance to National Fine Arts in Columbus this fall. Fine Arts will have the same heart virtually as it does in person, as we equip you to Deploy your gifts for the glory of God!
